I'm currently on my third glow plug in my Kyosho inferno neo (which isn't even a year old) and it's only had about two quarts through it. The stock glow plug lasted about one quart and then it wouldn't light up (even with a fully charged starter) so I bought some LRP R4's and they worked good until one died with only 3/4 of a quart through it! The LRP plug did sit through winter but I did use after run oil. Am I doing something wrong cause I feel like glow plugs should last a lot longer than this.

Could the engine be running too lean? That killed one of my glow plugs.

What fuel?

Are you monitoring temps?

I'm using sidewinder 20% nitro 20% oil. and temps are good. Around 170F
Sheesh 20%? Is it Boat or Heli fuel ??

I suggest VP 30 or torco 30.

Mccoy mc59 Os a3 Force Hot, etc

After a full tank and hard run, you should see 190-200 at the head. You want to get to 180 at least that is where In my opinion a mix of good performance and long life.

Break In pinch doesn't start to open up on higher rpm until 180 ish
