Hey, kinda bored and winter is coming fast so I started making my skis for rc cars. I made some for my rc18t. I am finished except I need to get more grip on the bottom because it doesn't turn worth crap. I need to decide weather to cut grooves into the ski, or add on stuff. I was thinking something like:

skisparrellel.webp

and then that red would be popping out.

My bro's snowmobile has them popping out like in the pic, thats why i say that.

what do you guys think? Thanks
-Pat

well, the savage I will run in 4wd with no skis. Just trying something new on this thing.

yes that will work

look at a surf board to help it grip the want and to all those turns they do they have fins sticking out

but you might want to try is one down the middle

yeah your going to need a rod on the bottom like the carbide on a snowmobile ski. I'm not sure a rc is going to have enough weight to push the rod down at all to make it actually steer good, but I guess its worth a shot. Panther makes a snow kit which is a really skinny grooved tire in the front and a paddle in the back that is suppose to be one of the best setups for snow.

Pat. RC18 is four wheel drive.
The front wheels will want to spin.

:2cents: Just a thought.

I took out the front 2 dogbones, and when I might actually use the skis, I will be taking out the whole front diff.
