Hey I'm new here i want to get a savage X ss kit or some type of savage kit. I was wondering how much assembly is required like do you have to put the transmission together engine parts or is it just simply attaching everything to the chasse. I'm not new to engines at all and neither to rc cars, if anyone one has a picture of a kit they have bought in the passed could you please post it because i want to see how it is for example how many peices obvously un-assembled. Thank you so much please put in input. If so is a car or truck kit easier i just want a very good in quality wise kit for me to build in my spare time. Thanks:)

I can help with any questions that you have. I just built the Savage X SS kit last month. I've also built several other vehicles, so I'll help you out in any way that I can. The kit is VERY easy to build. The diffs and engine and tranny are already assembled, you just build the chassis and install the driveline. I did it as my first kit build in about 10 hours. It was only my second RC, I had a T-Maxx first that I learned the basics with, then I got the kit to further my knowledge. I highly reccomend it. The quality is SOOO much better than the traxxas stuff that I have, and the instructions and the way that they have the parts sorted step by step makes it REALLY easy. Here's the thread where I documented the build. There's also a thread where I built my 5b ss which is basically the same, only the parts are bigger and a lil more in depth. I'll include the 5b thread because I did a more thorough job of documenting that build. As you will see in the pics, the parts bags are labeled alphbetically, and the instruction tell you which parts bag are for which step.

Also, If you want to know what you will need to buy to go with the kit to complete the truck, just send me a PM
