ok i iam just going to buy a new motor but i have some questions ? Will i need motor mounts and a new flywheel and exhaust manifold?

choices :

O.S. 12 cv-x $82

or

O.S. 15 cv-x $88

or maybe

O.S. 12 cv-rx !! $109 !!

prices from LHS.

whats all ur options i can't really afford the cvr, also these are with the roatry carb which is on other side of carb will i need new throttle linkage too ?

I'd save up a little bit more money and get the CV-r. Twice the power. Also, they do make them in slide configurations. If the linkage is on the otherside, loosen the nut and flip it around. That's what I did.

Motor mounts on the small blocks are standard spacing, correct me if I'm wrong. I think the manifold is the same also, correct me if I'm wrong again.

CV-R is the way to go....just wait a little and save some bones....the wait will be worth it...

I bought and broke in my cv-r yesterday and it runs great. Real easy to tune.

dam a set back i mistracked my funds now i really can't afford the cv-r and dam it ill just have to wait iam going to get the cv-r ill hurt but i must wait i only have 40 saved now dam its hard living on ur own !

the cv looks like a just big waste of money it wont even feel a differnce from my 15 fe. So this motor will drop right in i dont need a new flywheel ?

The CV-R is worth the wait. I put my CV-R in my Evader and did not have to change anything. Everything bolted on no problem. Beats the hell out of the .18 that comes with it.

could some one post their pics and show me what the 12 cvr looks like in a rs4 rtr3 :marshall:

Personally, I'd recommend the OS 15 cv-r(x). It's a really good stable engine. It's worth the extro $30-$40 for the extra power and ease of tuning.

I just traded a ST with an os 15 cv-r(x) on it. The engine had 6 or 7 gallons run through it and it still ran strong and cool.

i just bought the cv-x 1 month ago to replace my .15fe.I don't see any more power but it seems more reliable and easy to tune. The next time i will go with Novarossi.

The OS CV-R(X) is a mean ass and reliable engine and well worth the extra money. THat's one of the best .12 mills ever made.
