Does anyone know what the length is for the links needed to delete the trailing arms on the Ecto? Can't find the Knightrunner rear links in stock anywhere and when I look at the manual on the Element website, they list different lengths for the links in the parts list vs the exploded view. And where to do the shocks mount if the trailing arms are deleted?
Broke the trailing arm mount and figured now is as good of a time as any to replace the trailing arms.

Found 12.8" WB conversion rear links for the Sendero so I ordered them, should fit ok.

I don't fully understand if your asking a question or making a statement. Are you saying you ordered some links that should fit, but you want to know alternatives? Also doesn't the trailing arm mount in the same location as a rear link conversion?

I've never considered changing my rear end on my Ecto, I've never broken one though. I kind of like the trailing links. Without being at home to look at them I can't give you a real answer.

I ordered the 12.8 WB conversion links assuming it was correct but it didn't say what length they are. Later I looked at the exploded view on the Knightrunner was showing links up to 115mm in the parts list, but in the assembly diagram it showed links of 121 and 127mm.

I was a little surprised it snapped. So far I haven't had any luck finding a replacement part. I can find replacement trailing arms easy, but its the mount that snapped and haven't had any luck finding it.

Can't you just measure the length of the trailing arms and get the same length links?
It would be close but the links mount to the center skid and the trailing arms mount to the frame.

I think the links I ordered will work, but not 100% sure so I guess I will find out tomorrow, lol.

Not sure if these pics will help but here is a comparison between the Element Sendero HD and the Ecto

If you need another view let me know.

A little off topic I guess, but whats the point in trailing arms vs links? Why even run trailing arms? The steel links ate stronger, less bulk. Whats the point?
I can't answer for him. But if its modeled after a tryck that has arms in the front my ocd is happy. 😝🤪

That view helps a lot. I have the Rock Pirate shock towers so I'll need to adjust my shock position a bit going from trailing arms to links.

From what I understand, the trailing arms provide better stability with more speed and links allow more articulation for slow crawling.

On a crawler.... I guess I'm questioning what the point is in trailing arms on a crawler. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? My crawlers are geared to less than 5mph WOT. ( total guess based on the fact that my zero turn would smoke them and does around 12mph)

why do you wanna delete it vs replace it? the trailing arms are hella helpful, alledgedly, i havent removed mine so can't speak to it from the first person.

then i read thru the rest of the comments and I'm being a brokwenn record lol
i made my ecto rear wheel steer, was a mistake, now i get hella bumpsteer and understand why no one else does it lol, good luck with it i can't wait to see what ya do with it!!

howd the replacement go? i just grabbed a broken ecto and the sway bar links are gone coompletely and the wore ois broken. considering dfeleting it altogether as you mentioned
