Um can you say hype all the way to the worlds opener then it drops off the face of the earth? WTF GS? A ploy to sell all the Storms that are left in stock? Anyone have any lead about what the hell is up with the Avenger? Is is scrapped?

I Also would like to know just wtf they did with it! Even though I'm staying with my Storm and can't afford a new one, I'd still like to know just wtf!

Maybe GS has held off a little longer since Marty didn't place in the top 12 at Silver State. Just a wild guess!

I was really kean to get one so looked into it, and looked into it. Now I think I will just keep the storm to be honest.
Well it's like this as far as I understand. The car was very hyped up, all ready to go and looking good. Then during extensive testing a weak point was found that caused the diff's to fail. Don't know what it exactly was. I guess the car has to have a serious amount of re-design, then will eventually hit the shops. Also I heard that GS were having some manufacturing problems, some machine or another broke down during the prototype stage.
Thats what I heard, but cannot confirm for sure.

The Avenger was on the cover of R/C Man magazine for the July issue. Yes, R/C Man ("For the New Age Man" go figure)...it's a Taiwanese magazine. Unfortunately, it was in Taiwanese and I couldn't read what it said. The body was the same but it looked less ugly in the action shots.

Anyway, I doubt it would be a cover car if it was not going to make production.
