The way I see it, the original deal is done. You agreed to give him the iPod for the Box-O-Maxx. You ended up throwing $100 into it to get it running. At this point, the Maxx is yours. And it is yours to do what you want with. If he screwed up and she's pecking at him to get it back, it's basically a new sale in my eyes. Make him pay what it's worth on the open market. And if you like the truck and want to keep it, then keep it. He's the one who screwed up and you don't owe him jack. Hell, if his nuts are in that big of a sling, I'd sell it for market value + $50 just because he's desperate.

is this the same "friend" that buys all your other rc's, destroys them, then sells them back to you really cheep?? so now he sold you a destroyed one, and you fixed it up.

yeah i'm with candyman too.the ipod for the box-o-maxx (XD) is a perfectly legal deal.now if he wants it back you can either exchage it with your ipod+$100 or sell it $300(AT LEAST).or you can keep it,the choice is yours

I ran the truck today, and amazingly didn't break a thing. I actually like this truck..... alot. For what it is, I was really impressed with it. I don't think I want to get rid of it now. If he wants it back, $400 cash money, screw the Ipod.
As far as he's concerned the parts were bought, just not specifically for that truck. I did at one time buy them, regardless of purpose, I had to use them to make the truck whole again. This truck sat for a year, I know just being scathed for parts. She never ran it, because he never got off his ass to fix it up, or cough up the money for the engine it needed to get it running.
It's my truck now.

Good job. Not sure if your still friends with the cat, but I think it was pretty shady of him to say hed give ya a Tmaxx in collateral, then hand you a box of parts. Even worse with poop missing.
As far as the frame on that, it looks like a racers edge one to me. Could be wrong though. Nice either way!

I really could care less about it being in parts, as long as everything's there. Every rig I get a hold of gets torn down anyway, that's not a problem.
I wouldn't have been nearly as pissed about it had he just told me about it before hand, instead of putting me on the spot.
