Alright. Here's the deal: A bud of mine called me up needing money to take some girl out. He traded his ex-girlfriend's T-Maxx to me whom he's still, as he claims, "friends with". He asked me, when I decide to get rid of it, to give him first dibs at it.

So, I went along with it, giving him my 2G Ipod nano, which was still brand new. He brings me this bucket of parts that he threw together and says, "Well, it's in pieces, but it's all there except for the engine."

I was already pissed that he gave it to me in parts, but I took it.

I went through it to find out that it was missing:

Differential
Body
Pipe/Header
Radio Box
Battery Box
Throttle Servo
Air filter
2 Wheels
Throttle bellcrank
Servo Saver
Linkage
Almost all the screws
3 Shocks
Spur gear
Rear bulk heads
Fuel tank


I also added:
RX pack
FOC
Venom Failsafe (the regular one)
Trinity Body
LSP Pipe, Savage Header
HPI .21 engine with about 2 gallons through it
It also had the original short arms and I replaced them with the proline upgraded wide arms and towers

His ex found out he got rid of it and she wants it back. He'll probably call me soon and I was wanting to know what you guys think I should get out of him to let it go.

What would you guys do? BTW: not bad for a bucket of old parts, eh?

Also, could someone tell me what brand/type of chassis that is?

Just someone I know, more like and acquaintance really. I've gotten alot of r/cs from him.

I was just really disgusted about the whole thing. I'm thinking about just keeping it until the cows come home just to piss in his wheaties.

Sounds like a good plan to me, the bucket of old parts may be too good for him.

Exactly. He made you do all that work. I would charge him for all the labor and missing parts need to put it back together.

There was a good part of that crap that I either had, or got real cheap, but it's the point. I mean, I only put probably $100 into that truck.

I wouldn't give it back IMO. You spent all the time and money to get her back together and upgraded quite a lot. Tax him for all of it

I'm still deciding whether or not I want to keep it. I already have four other perfect rigs. It's not really exceptionally great for any purpose. It's not going to out-bash the savage, it's not going to out-race the other t-maxx. It would be just something to screw around with.

I still say TAX HIM!!! See what he says first though. If he tries to get it without, then tell him what you did. If he still says he wants then I say strip it and then give it back in the same condition

Sell it back to him for at least 4 bills. 200 for the cost of the ipod, 100 for your parts you bought, and at least 100 for tracking down all the missing parts and labor. Or tell him to go piss up a rope, lol.

When he would have showed up with a bucket of parts I would have told him to shove that bucket up his ass. I wouldn't sell it to him at all. If you don't want it anymore sell it to someone else. If you do sell it to him I agree that the price would have to be at least $400.00
