Watched season 2 of 1923. It's a spinoff of the Yellowstone TV series. And I think it's better. Now I have started back at the beginning of season 1 to watch it all again. Great show.

Like many others here, I'm sure, I am watching Reacher Season 3. Actually just binged the first 2 seasons as well in the last few weeks.
Also, been watching the new show The Hunting Party, it's decent enough.

Yep, finished re-watching season one and two, now a third of the way through season three of Reacher. :thumbs-up:

@CertifiedMike and all the others that love vintage!

vintage my ass, that track is to groomed and we didn't use leaf blowers on it 30 years ago. racers are such pink taco's they're wrecking vintage racing  this is why we can't have nice things!

Vintage! 👍

Eh... 🤣
I agree, THIS is why I haven't bought an A&L Factory Works trailing arm chassis for my Mid yet... YET!
My back yard track WILL look like tracks USED to look like and that trailing arm at 45° or so should make the rear handle GREAT!!!! 😍😎
If nothing else, I will have another Mid chassis build off my bucket list! 🤣
@CertifiedMike and all the others that love vintage!

This race is why I haven't been able to order from A&L this week. He's AT this race this week... no orders please! ☹️🤣
I'm thinking about trying their ball bearing servo saver for the Mid. I'm getting tired of playing with spacers and bearings on the factory set up. 😐
I'm SO close tho! 🤬 🤣
Their set up works, its cheap enough to keep it simple. If I need to repair this set up at the track, I'm done! Too many spacers. The thrust bearings are more points of failure to worry about too.

So more to the point... aside from the groomed track, I love the cars running and the spirit of the race! 😍
I need a track that runs this 365!!! ❤️🤣
I love watching vintage cars run. Skatepark, dragstrip, dirt road or on the track... doesn't matter much to me.
Nitro and electric, on road and off all have their places and fit there well.
The progression of this hobby and RC racing is pretty awesome if you step back and look at it all!
Vintage racing will keep that fresh in ppl's minds. Its important to know your roots! 😍😎😁

Totally correct! THIS is my vision and frankly, my track might not be as nice as these are when I start out!
Finances are limited to zero on the track fund right now! 🤣 No fancy clay shipment planned for at lesat a few years I'd guess.
My neighbor DOES have a tractor that I might be able to rent cheap tho... 🤔
Vintage tracks were rough and bang up, actually need to use light oil and springs to get traction, messy things! 🤣 MY kinds of places!!! ❤️
The new vintage race surfaces aren't a great replacement for the real vintage races for sure.
I guess just rolling out some sandy clay on the ground is too hard? 🤷‍♀️🤣
I have seen some OLD dirt tracks that have been 'polished' by the cars but I can't begin to tell you if they treated the surfaces or if its just nitro and soil or what.
Its funny when I hear ppl say that the 'old' pin style spiked tires don't work.
Don't work on what? I wasn't racing then but my pin spikes TORE UP my dirt back yard! 🤣

a NORRCA off road National in 1995 wasn't as groomed or as kept up as that vintage race.

average club race surface.
Another thing I notice in these videos is that the jumps, bumps and overall scale of the track feel more realistic to me.
No 30' jumps to land and an 1/8 scale doesn't belong on these tracks.
Maybe its me and my OCD on this one? 🤷‍♀️🤣

The cars are AWESOME!!! ❤️😍😁

you're right. i blame short course trucks. a lot of tracks now are built to accommodate them. cause they're 1/10 right? which means 1/8 scale fit just fine. an outdoor track local to me went through that. it was originally intended for 1/10 scale, built for short course, and now its considered an 1/8 track. which has caused the jumps to become so damn big 1/10 scale can't really handle it.

the track in the video later moved to a new location (1998ish), i think it got a little bigger square footage wise. but, check out the lane width and size of the jumps, as well as track prep/surface.

same facility maybe 2005 or so (?) (they closed in 2007)

the last indoor track i went to (West Coast RC Raceway in maybe 2012) and the lanes had gotten wider. i remember seeing some 1/8 electric buggies there. the last time i went a guy was running an e-revo comfortably.

Those videos are awesome! You can def see the progression to the bigger jumps, banked turns...
I think the speed from brushless combined with the weight savings of lipo made a huge difference in the buggies' capabilities, able to really brake and accelerate quicker etc. really changed the tracks too.
SCT and buggy "1/10" scale are clearly not the same! That DEF throws a wrench into the works too!

Great series.
I'll have to check that out. Jeremy is a kickass actor. I was worried he was done after his accident a couple years ago, but I have read he has recovered pretty well.

I do believe season 3 of Mayor Of Kingstown is after Jeremy's accident. As so far as the foul mouth writers are concerned, the series probably tops the list of how much cussing a person can do it one sentence 🤬.

I don't know, are the wife and I the only ones who think the bad language has gone too far? I mean, we stopped watching Dextar after the first few episodes, because of the language being over the top. Years later we decided to give it another go... pushed through the constant ill-mannered Debra and her/writer's choice of words.

Another great "lets root for the bad guy" series we loved... Dextar. The show having gone through 8 seasons, I think says something. I'm so glad we pushed through the profanity.
