Homemade chicken and rice soup. Because I'm freakin sick again :(

It is very good soup though.

Figured I would try a new restaurant here called Zen Bagel. I noticed they had biscuits and gravy, so being the only restaurant here that had a B&G I haven't tried, I had to see if it was any good. Outside of being a tad bit too salty, it was the best I've had from any restaurants here. Their OJ and eggs were killer too. It was a LOT of food for a decent price. I had to put half of it in the fridge for later.

I think unsalted scrambled eggs would tame the saltiness.

This biscuits and gravy meal looks like the kind of meal someone like me would only have to look at to gain weight.😅

So someone please explain - is it basically essence of sausage and pastry with gravy made from 'dripping'?

Sounds incredible - but very naughty! 😅

Mainly pork sausages, lots of butter, lots of heavy cream. One of many basic components of a myocardial infarction brew.

Wait, what?!

Grease left over from frying the sausage, add flour and brown it, add milk and stir until it thickens, then add the crumbled sausage.

Mine is the delicious heart attack version, Mr. Healthnut!

Milk! Pfft 🙄

It had two eggs with it. They didn't help unfortunately. It wasn't just salt. There was an earthy spice that was overpowering as well. Maybe too much sage or something.
