This meal saved us £500.

Last Sunday, my wife lost her wedding ring. She noticed it was missing whilst preparing our Sunday dinner. We looked everywhere for it.

She was convinced that it must have slipped off while looking for veg at our local supermarket. Obviously I retraced her steps and went to the shop, asking if they could contact us if it handed in.

Then we gave up looking - because: probability was close to zero.

Replacement ring was ordered.

Then during my Bangers and Mash meal, wifey requests that I use up the remaining Cabbage from last week's meal, which was in a bag in our Freezer.

I duly cook it up, season it with rock salt and mixed pepper. As I'm serving it, I noticed something very shiny at the bottom of the pan.......NO WAY!!! It was my wife's platinum wedding ring. Perfectly boiled and seasoned.
