I used to do the dew. I could throw back a 36 pack in a day if wanted. A 48 pack could last a couple days. 3 max.
Put a strainer above a glass measuring cup, insert coffee and filter. Boil water and pour on top. Pour the contents from the measuring cup into your cup. My old man perfected this over the last 20 years. A coffee maker would last him 2 weeks to 6 months.
Booze is the only thing thats important anyway so no biggie!
I haven't drank anything alcoholic in years. Never was an alcoholic, or an addict of anything really. I still cook with it though. So I wouldn't say it's a complete waste.
