my mom asked me today what i am going to want as a graduation presant but i dont know what i want. so what would you guys get if you were me? i dont have a lisecse so i can't get a car. I'm not a hunter so guns are out the question. right now all i think about is rc. if you were to get a new one which would you get.

When I graduated I got a set of rims for my truck....lol.. What kinds of stuff are ya into? Besides R/c stuff? Money is always good. Ya plannin on going to college?

I'm going to A.D.I. its a trade school majoring in automotive and deisal.

the problem with money is if i ask for money i wont get that much because my high allowence. so I'm better off asking for some thing expensive. if i ask for another r/c it will happen only because she knows i wont let is sit in the shed or in my closet wasting space.

Well if it were me,i would ask for a car, when you turn 18 and head off to school, your gonna wanna have transpertaion,so getting your license maybe the best thing,if you can get it,if not, ask for a new baja b5.

the school isnt far from me. the only i can get a car is if we split it half way. i dont have a job right now (being 17 sucks). in ny now you have to be 18 to get you lisence.

i have no where to run the b5 plus the b5 is the same price of a civic.

that sucks having to be 18 in ny now,I'm in wa so i just have to be 16 wich i am,well maybe a hot 1/8th buggy would be the way to go,and splitting half way for a car isn't bad man,my parent's made me pay for my entire car and all the repairs it's going to need. what about a Mugen MSR truggy with a hott engine. maybe you can find a real nice r/c on flebay that your parents will go for.

I've been looking into a buggy or truggy. ill probably get one or a 3.3 revo or savage x

I was my lhs and i checked out the new 3.3 revo and it looks pretty sweet,I haven't had a chance to look at the Savage X,if you get the 3.3 revo lmk how it does cause i might have to adjust my budget and look into one.

In Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Kansas you can get your permit at 14. Thats pretty crazy!

If you race... get a truggy.... if you bash get a truggy! LOL

Maybe you want to get some tools for the new trade, you can never have to many tools.

If your looking for a truggy, I'm selling one.
Unless your looking for brand new.
I personally would go new.

i dont need tools. the school will let me borrow tools for class and when i graduate i get 3 grand in snap on tools of my choice. i told my mom this morning i wanted another rc. she said ok just tell me know which one. i leaning toward a buggy or truggy but i hear a rtr isnt good. but i also want the 3.3 revo. what ever i choose will be fine since i told her the car i want is 600 dollars

sorry ratzo my mom wont buy a used or preowned rc. i would have to buy it my self without telling her. when she finds out i get the "why did you buy that" look. she doesn't knowt o much about the hobby except that its expensive.

Thats why I said ^^^^^

sorry ratzo missed that.

ok here are the ones that i have picked.
1. Ofna 1/8 Hyper 7 PBS Buggy RTR
2.Ofna 1/8 Ravager .28 RTR
3.Ofna CD3 Pro RTR 4WD ( on road)
4.revo 3.3
5.savage x

My parents afre getting me a 1988 Chevy K1500 4x4 V6/Auto for $2,500,I don't graduate till December, but I will have the truck by the end of May. Then I get $300-$500 in CD's from my grandmom(not for graduating, money she put away when i was born)to go towards the truck,I already have a CB,Scanner,Whips,Fog lights lined up to buy for the truck. If their is any money left over it goes towards a strobe light bar and strobes to go in my plow turn signals an my taillights for plowing.

If you can't get your Lic. till your 18 then go with something R/C,I got nothing to suggest since I am way behind in the hobby at the moment.

Thats cool the your going for Diesel,I start at the Community College in the fall of 2k7 for Diesel Hydraulic Technology and in the second year of the DHT I am doing a double major, going to do DHT & Welding & Metal Fab,I also get a discount on my CDL and I either get a discount on Mac tools(no Snap-On up here) or get so much money towards them. Your trade school is prolly alot closer then my CC, the CC from my house is 63 miles away I will be making that trip up and back daily.

I'd get this:
http://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/s...yId=2049168&dualCurrId=1000073&catalogId=-840
or
http://proportable.com/detail.aspx?ID=107

but that's me...

or a car of course...too bad for the whole 18 thing in NY, that REALLY sucks...

Btw, nice truck nitroking, that's really close to what I want.

i already have a labtop. I'm using it right now. I'm getting the revo 3.3. this way if i want to race i will a respectable rig that is also durable enough to bash with.

oh yes New York sucks. you have to be 18 for everything here plus theres nothing good here.

But is yours that awesome? lol. Hey, I have a notebook too, and I'm on it as well, but I still want those and plan to buy one here in a few months, lol.

Anyway, good luck on the revo 3.3! My shop (man, I love being able to say that... :D)has the t-maxx 3.3 on display, and the engine is noticably bigger. Dunno how it performs tho.
