lol..Owned...

but yeah, probably wouldnt be good for it.

i just wanted to know because when someone asked what would happen if you put gas in a r/c nitro engine everyone said KABOOM. i wanted to know what would happen to a car with nitro fuel. hey i didnt think it was a dumb question.

You would waste your 20-30 bucks a gallon you spent on the fuel and look like a complete dumba$$

I'm wasn't going to do it. i aint triing to hurt nobody or nothing.

Jesus Christ....dude was just asking......people are pricks on this board it seems since I've came back.

WTH...I got banned last year for calling some "***" but we can say ****?

waste land I'm sorry if you think I'm a prick. i just feel that the space on this board and time of our members could be better used to answer real questions. i mean cmon, think about it. add nitromethan to a gas car. have you seen what happens when something goes wrong on a NITROMETHAN burning drag car??? it blows the hell up!!!!! from that i can assume (mind you i may be a bit more knowedgable then some) that if a engine that is built to run on nitromethan can explode with that much force and destruction, then adding nitromethan to an engine that isnt built to handle it would result in an even bigger BOOM.

the last guy we had on here playing with explosives almost blew his hand off. i just dont want to see the headlines " kids mistake kills whole family...... we will tell you how at 11".....

this fuel and these cars, are NOT a toy.. i dont care what my wife calls them. they are dangerouse and should be handled as such.

if you think I'm a prick the so be it. but some times some people need a bit of "tough love" so they dont do something stupid.

I'm not saying danny was or has done anything stupid. but when someone asks a question, it normaly means they are thinking about doing something simular, or have thought about it in the past.

please people dont mix chemicals!! and REALLY dont mix flamable chemicals!!!

"hhhmmm wonder what would happen if i mixed up this bleach and this amonia????" kmon guys we gotta make a good impression on people viewing this board and this hobby

Normally if a thread gets out of hand then it is moved to the FFA. Yes we have addressed the flaming on the site. If members get out of hand then the Staff gets involved. IF we haven't addressed the issue please report them to us. No need to bring another flame in the Open Forums.

Everyone has an opinion but if there really is a member that is causing trouble then please report it to the Staff. If you go out on some vigilante against another member then you become the troublemaker. If this was in the FFA, I would have stayed quiet. Let members come in and get comfortable and lets see what they are like. In order for anyone here to be a "go to" person or a leader, you have to listen so that you may lead. DannyD sounds curious. I know I posted some dumb stuff before when I started. I think I just posted one like it yesterday....:hehe:

i don't know about everybody else, but i'm gettin' a little tired of being a prick, peepee, jerk, etc. by proxy. i haven't done anything to anybody so if you don't mind, don't generalize. if you think some people are pricks, just call 'em out by name in the FFA.

Or, the preferred method (directed to EVERYONE) is simply to send a PM. That's what it's there for.

Now, let this sleeping dog lie before we chase off anyone else that happens to stumble in here. Question asked, question answered. Let's move on.

It was just a simple question. He did get a little barker at,That was alittle uncalled for. The question was no big deal, so lets not make it one.

And waste, since you been back I havent noticed ANYONE being a "Prick". The site has been pretty tame and welmannored in the past two weeks if ya ask me.

i opoligize if i caused any tention between anyone. i would rather ask a question then do it in this situation (involving chemicals i failed chemistry twice). so once again sorry if i raised anyones blood pressure.

Mods can one of you get rid of this one before some one gets into trouble.

thanks.

Back on the farm...or back to the question.

These RC cars use Nitromethane since they run a very high compression. That is why the 1/5 cars use gas, they're lower compression but bigger bore/stroke that makes up for the lower compression. Anyways, the higher the octane the slower it burns and the lower the octane the faster it burns. So If you put something like lets say 93 octane in some typical 8:5.1 car like a Crown vic, you would get poopy mpg because it would burn it to fast. If you run low octane on a high compression motor, it will do ok until you floor it and then it will be like you ran it rich and probaly shoot some parts out the block. So my guess would be the 1:1 car would drive like a typical car or maybe a little rough. Also keep in mind it may mess up the O2 sensors or clog up the cats.

This stuff is pretty bad stuff but introduced to a tpical 1:1 car want cause a funny car melt down. Those fires are usualy cause by some part breaking or running to lean.
