I use red and tacky. I avoid white lithium now. Traxxas white gears are self lubricating if its a nitro.

I should add that Superlube is also very sticky and is avail as food safe.

I use the same thing I lube my ARs with.
Mix synthetic red disk brake grease and 0w20 synthetic motor oil till its the consistency of honey.
