couple of questions.... Does anyone use white lithium?
second: why can't I drill a very small hole in the transmission (and the diff housing) and fit a removable plug? Then I could use the small tube that comes with the aerosol Lithium Can to lube the transmission and diffs when I FEEL IT'S NEEDED.
I understand that I can do anything I want to my crawlers, but I have no desire to showcase my own stupidity.
As an aside...When doing some shock building/expermenting I went with internal springs on a set and no oil (not dry, but a tiny bit of oil for lubrication) but the shocks were not as smooth as I felt the should be so I coated the shafts with WD40 (dry lube) and that really screwed everything up. Took two men and a boy to move the shocks after that.....
