So I get my xr10 wired up with dual fxrs, cc bec, savox servo & wantAsummit's MOA mix unit. Get it all functioning prior to soldering my motors up, I had proper function of everything, go to solder my motors up, turn it on and apply throttle, and EVERYTHING just dies, no power to nowhere! Unplug the pack and re-plug, NOTHING, no steering, no green light bec, no fxr lights, nothin, and now I'm worried I just fried a $250 electronic setup or possibly my rx.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Try a different pack first, if thats not it then try a new connector at your main power hook up, if thats not it, then its prolly your bec.

Man I hope its not anything more, when I go to plug my pack in it doesn't make that spark click noise, lol I only have one pack

Like Lloyd said it is probably your BEC, Ben reading about people having there BEC get fried lately. You could try hooking up the ESC's BEC and see if anything comes to life.

I just found the problem & very disapointed in myself... On the front motor lies both esc battery wires soldered to both - motor solder tabs, and on the rear both esc wires soldered on the + motor tabs. I can only fear the worst at this point.....

Maybe I can take a breathe, just got my old rooster esc out and plugged it up to the xr10s rx and no response, but I did not hear that spark "click" when I plugged the pack into the esc. The rx did not light up either

If the green light on your BEC is not on I would say you have a bad BEC, Try unpluging your BEC from the Rx and using the ESC's internal BEC just to see if things power on.

I think the pack is fried because my rooster esc doesn't power up when I plug that pack into it, I need to get another pack some how and do some tests on my fxrs n sh!t

You try a new plug on the pack?

Yeah you can have a connector go bad and not see any visible signs of it.

Just switched the connector & nothin... I guess ill try to charge the pack up? If this pack is unstable now I am worried lol

I have also tore down one of two fxrs and it showed no sign on anything blown or poofed so I am assuming they are still good? God I dont even have any nimh nicad packs anymore lol

Tore apart my other fxr and also shows no blown or poofed circuitry, Also Maybe someone can chime in and tell me if I even have my duals hooked up right? Just incase all is well except the pack?

The BEC wires are not soldered to the fxr solder posts just shrink tubed with the wires for a tighter run, and yes I realize I wear my ring on the wrong finger, too small for the right one

Any connection other than Deans or bullets, (where they unplug from each other) needs to be soldered to give you a solid connection. Shrink wrap will work for simple applications but the wire and connection will corrode, losing a good contact. Sometimes just the start up of power will create a spark and loose the connection.
Solder them before you look for other problems. Chances are that will be the cure.

Just pulled the rx out and apart, no signs of poofing either, not sure if what I did would show signs but all looks good so far.

@ Rolex, they are soldered at the deans but not shrink tubed at the esc for a connection, just to get wires out of my way.

Do you have a volt meter? Check the voltage of the lipo.

Thats the one thing I wish I had, don't know what to do about the pack w/o a meter, plug it in and attempt a balance charge?:\

And the results are in! I indavidually plugged each electronic into my nimh pack and all lit up in my face to say hello! Both fxrs, the rx and bec still in tact!! As far as the pack not putting any charge out now I guess ill try a charge, if not ill trash it and buy some packs! Oh my god I'm so happy! :D
