I have a XTM Mammoth that is 1/8th scale. What steering servo should I use? And throttle servo? I want to get a Hi-tech or Savox.

My steering servo right now is a Savox SC-0252 and throttle servo is Hi-tech HS-311.

I just recently sold my HPI servos: HPI SF-32TT Digital High Performance Servo

so the girlfriend wouldn't say anything when I bought these: Hitec HS-7940TH High-Voltage 7.4V Ultra Speed Digital Servo, and Hitec HS-7980TH Mega Torque High-Voltage Digital servo.

Ya I hope so, I had hitec before but they were just the 645-MGs

I hope these will be considerably better, I just don't know if I should order the part to reprogram the points?

A good very affordable combo is the savox sc-0251mg on steering, $40 or less on ebay. Then the savox sc-0254mg on throttle/brake, $29-$35 on ebay. I have this set on my RC8T 1/8 scale truggy and love it. 222 torque and .18 seconds on steering and 100 torque and .14 seconds on throttle/brake. Very responsive indeed.

I already have the 2051MG as a steering servo. And I do love it but I used that servo on my Losi XXX-NT that is 1/10th scale. I just figured if that is ok to have on my XTM or if I should get like a $70 servo and use my 2051MG as a throttle.

You would want something with closer to 200oz/in of torque for steering and metal geared.

I can't seem to find the 2051MG servo, so I don't now what it has for specs.

If it's 0251MG, then it should do fine for steering. I ran a hitec 985MG on mine which is weaker than the 0251MG and mine did fine with it.

I just picked up one of savox's waterproof servos, but haven't run the buggy yet. I put it in for t/b usage. I like running higher torque and waterproof servos for t/b. Just being a basher, speed isn't nearly as important as durability/strength.

Sorry I wasn't paying any attention I have the 2052MG not the 2051MG but what is the difference?

t/b? and I am the same way I don't really care much about speed, just durability. I have 3 1/2 inch tires on my XTM and I don't know how long the 0252 will stay going strong.

t/b = throttle/brake
