I'm got a losi lst coming on the way and i was wondering if i should keep my jr r-1 and put that in the losi or just use the stock xs3 that comes with it , my r-1 is the pcm model

HOnestly if I were getting an LST, I'd leave the XS3 right in there. I have an XS3 and it's full of awesome features. Fully programmable. And the version that comes in the LST has a synth tx and rx so you don't need crystals. You can change channels just by turning a couple knobs. It's an awesome setup. You can't go wrong with it.

No doubt the R-1 looks like a great radio. By no means am I dogging it. It's like you said. Tough choice. The nice thing is that the LST does come with a great radio. Not one of the bottom line AM systems that most RTR's come with. The synth feature is awesome. I guess if it were me, it would be a tough choice. No doubt both are perfectly capable rigs.

The R-1 is JR's top of the line "flagship" radio the xs3 is doo-doo compared to the mighty R-1. :cheeky: :worship:  But seriously if the synthesized module from the xs3 fits the R-1 then I would relagate the xs3 to standby mode deep in some closet. :2cents: Come on now the R-1 has adjustable throttle and brake curves for goodness sakes!!!! :fro:

But in the end both radios will work just fine.
