What shocks are those on the 4Pede?

Well I only have 1 RC car (my Kraton, so far), but somewhere around 16 different RC planes (so far hehe). Everything from UMX indoor and F3P planes to 4 meter competition gliders, scale warbirds, and a couple of racing and long distance quads. Heres a few of my planes.

Couldn't think of what to say except WOW! Amazing collection.

I only have two rigs. The Slash is from Xmas last year, and is heavily modified. 4s, 1/8 2050kv, BLX esc, Emaxx body. The rest of the list is too long to mention. Had my son running it beside the Notorious today, damaged the rear body mounts and rear RPM bumper. I know what I'm doing tonight :p

What shocks are those on the 4Pede?
An oddball combination. They were Unlimited Engineering supermaxx shocks, which were modified OFNA 9.5 buggy shock bodies with shafts that were between rear/front length. However, over time, I bent the shafts and ended up putting normal 9.5 front shafts in them. I also drilled out the piston holes a bit when I put them on the stampede. I'm using integy green t-maxx springs.

Pretty sure my wife ordered me a set of traxxas gtr shocks for Christmas, so I'll be switching to those. I have a set of VG variable springs and the traxxas VDK to install in them when I get them.

Oh, they look nice and was like I have not seen those before. I might pick up some GTRs some day.

They are pretty good, but they have a tendency to tear the bladder, so you end up with emulsion shocks. I'm not sure why. When I put them on the stampede, I dumped them, cleaned them, put in new bladders. Then when I increased the oil weight a week later, 3 of the 4 bladders were torn. I just refilled them with heavier stuff and ran them as they were.

Got my first RC's back when I was 54-55. Tamiya Clod Buster with custom aluminum chassis, twin motor Tamiya Wild Dagger and a Tamiya AWD car chassis with a BMW M3 body, all sold off. Now at 67, I have decided to get back into the RC hobby. I have 3 drones - A SkyViper M550, Dromida Vista and a Parrot Bebop camera drone. My only car is a (forgive me) Redcat Volcano -

I was always tempted to get the Redcat Volcano because it was 4x4 and only like $80 at Bestbuy, and it was small. Passed on it though.

Hey MT! I bought it because it was $90 on Amazon and I wasn't sure if I was really going to get back into RC cars. It is small compared to other 1/10 rigs but so far, I've been really happy with it. I have been running it on 2s LiPo and it is pretty steady for a short wheelbase truck.

Starting with electric got me going in the hobby again 2 years ago. For the 2 or 3 years before that, I didn't run my nitro's hardly at all. Granted, when I dove in, I dove in pretty hard and got the brushless revo for a high buy in. Just wish I had done better with my money for the charger out of the gate.

Boy olds97_iss, when you dive, you do it with both feet! A brushless Revo seems to carry a pretty hefty price tag!

Besides the new Talion, I have a Traxxas Rustler vxl and Stampede 2wd vxl. Honestly wish I had never bought either and gone straight to Arrma. :D

The Volcano isn't that bad, there are 4 other manufacturers that utilize that platform making a monster truck, buggy, truggy, sct, desert truck and rally car. So parts can be found everywhere.

I loved my 2wd brushed Stampede. It gave me so many good times bashing it hard and nothing but a shock and a front arm ever broke. Of course I needed more power lol so I stepped up to the 4wd brushless Stampede but that's when all the problems started for me. I'm hoping the move to Arrma comes with a lot less headaches with my 4x4 Granite.

Howdy slick2500! Yep, after I bought it I found that there were quite a few parts and hop-up parts for it. Plus, I've seen many modifications to the truck converting it to brushless and it seems to survive. What I thought was neat is that the ESC has a jumper that you can set to run LiPo batteries, which I did. The 550 can motor seems to handle 2s LiPo just fine...
