Just a heads up WoodiE, I had the ECX ruckus and it was a great car except the servo saver is way to strong and you will want to remove it. The only other thing on that truck that ever gave me problems was the half shafts/driveshafts, way too easy to break, went through about 10 pairs with just the stock brushless motor + esc. upgraded to the mip rustler driveshafts and never had a problem! But by no means is it a fragile car, beat it up more than i would like to say but it held up outstandingly.

Did a bit of organizing my basement/shop on Friday and see a couple empty spots on here I need to fill. Actually, I have one coming on Tuesday and bought my Son another for Christmas, so I guess I better stop before the Wife cuts me off at the knees...LOL

Well my new Truck arrived today. A Redcat Racing Terremoto 10 V2. Thought I would compare the size to the Typhon. It's pretty big for a 1/10 scale. The wheelbase is slightly shorter than the Typhon...

My original Tamiya Hornet and Blackfoot.

Blackfoot has some repurposed electronics from my Raider, once I went brushless in that.
Hornet is all original except for a new ESC to replace the mechanical one. Both still fun after all these years!!!

Nice to see someone else who kept their old r/c cars.

Once I bought the Raider the RC addiction took over and I had to get these going. Took a little work but they're on the road again!!!
Same thing happened to me when I took my Son out to drive his Raider. I took my old Grasshopper out with us but a wire came loose on the old speed controller, so just fixing it gave me the bug again. :p

Yeah those old mechanical speed controls were something else. Lol. Once I moved the mega raider ESC to my Blackfoot I had to get one for the Hornet. More fun and less maintenance - when my daughter and her cousins get a hold of them. Lol.

I still haven't turned over the controls to the brushless raider yet though

I have a new Tamiya brushed speed control from my Neo Scorcher build but not sure if I want to put that in my Subaru Brat. I want to upgrade the shocks first to oil filled.

I wasn't quite sure about breaking away from original, but it's not a shelf queen so I went for it. Glad I did

If I decide to upgrade I can always go back to original, but the body would be changed so I don't tear up the ABS original.
