Anybody here have an opinion on Linkin park... I argue this with my kids all the time. I think they should have just renamed the band after bringing on Emily. But, I guess I am stupid, because nobody agrees with me.

Hell-Sepultura kept the name when Max left… Then Igor left too… They’ve had multiple drummers-and even Eloy is no longer with them. They are still truckin’ today, and selling out shows-but they will NEVER be Sepultura to me… not after BOTH Cavalera brothers left..

idk, the sound is instantly recognizable as Linkin Park. isn't it most of the original line up just with a new singer? and doesn't Shinoda kind of dictate creative direction? bands change singers all the time.
Sublime's been dead sense 1997. want to get Rome in there with a couple Sublime members, fine, but it's not really Sublime. want Brads son fronting it, fine, but its not Sublime, it's Sublime Jr.
just because you have Eric an Bud doesn't mean you have Sublime. the main creative voice is gone. both Eric and Bud have stepped out and been "filled in for" on occasion. at this point its like calling a Superformance GT40 a real GT40.
idk why they didn't just keep using the Long Beach Dub Allstars name and let the Sublime name RIP.
