I have seen plastic, fiberglass, and different types of metals. What type of material brake disk work the best. Advanatage and disadvantages?

I would say fiberglass or carbon fiber. It really depends on your setup honestly. A vented rotor setup isn't bad at all as long as there are some good thick pads involved. What vehicle??/

I have a nitro rs4. I want to get some better braking power.

Is it the original Nitro RS4??? I have the HPI RS4 3SS and I am running the HPI Fiberglass disc brake and it has way more than enough stopping power for the car. If it is for on road the fiberglass disc should be enough. You may take a look at a carbon fiber disc and maybe a little something else. Is your car belt driven or shaft driven that would make a big difference as well. Still the fiber brake disc offered by HPI should honestly be enough.

Yeah, its the original belt driven nitro rs4. I picked up a fiber glass disc already. Ill let you know how it works out.

THANX!

you should be happy with the fiberglass,I had one on my belt drive,it worked great for me,I went through to many rear diff housings!

why did your brakes mess up your housings?

With my sticky tires and a little bit of VHT I can do indos with my rs4. This turned out to be the best 5 dollers I ever spent.
