Does anyone know how i can move or raise this linkage away from the spur gear? When i hit the brake it touches the gear. I'm afraid it will cause it to bind up and cause problems. Its on a traxxas nitro rustler.

nitro rustler? been over 2 decades sense i worked on one of those. but you should be able to raise the linkage. i can't remember how... might be a collar on the bottom of the linkage behind the spur gear (?). loosen that up, slide the linkage up and retighten. think I'm remembering that right... then if need be put a slight bend (or more accurately, straighten out) the servo linkage so it still lines up with the eyelet.

You could grind all the teeth right off that gear and be done with it!!! Or better yet, a 25 tooth spur gear! 🤣

I might be more helpful with better pics, different angles but i think some spring, tubing, collars... might help tighten up the movement of the linkage. I also think looking on the other side of that gear for a way to lift the linkage higher is going to help.

Are there pieces missing? Any Traxxas guys know??? 🤔

These guys are smart so listen to them! 👍😁😉

I recommend buying straight linkages and bending them yourself. They're cheap. But perhaps a quick fix is now possible, is there a grub screw you could loosen to lift the linkage higher?
There is a screw at the bottom of the linkage but its all the way at the bottom. I could pull the linkage up away from the gear but then it falls back down. There is nothing the hold it up. Ill take a few more pictures when I get home of it.

so add a collar to the top. or fuel tubing would probably work. or in a pinch a zip tie.
