i need running lights and a floodlight for the trailer.
i spent a few hours on the bay looking, most i see are either not enough lights, or too many lights, or wrong color lights. lol, help me
i need 8 lights in the back, prefer them to all be white, as my lenz covers are colored, so i dont need a red light for my red lights as they already have red pla coveres so a white would work just fine.
then i need another floodlight 4 feet away from them rear lights.
i also want them to be bright,
they will run off their own 2s battery in a box in the rear instead of the trucks battery
i see a lot with flashing systems, i dont really care if it has turn signals that automatically activate when i turn, i just want bright tail lights, and a super bright light bar across the front of the trailer to work as a flood light.

Heads up, a white led in a red slot may show white or pink.

How's your soldering skills?

I picked up one of these some time ago. Runs off 2s, 4 channels, and the controller is double sided taped to my radio. It's the size of a car key for.

that was a cool truck! dayum was nice, i see what you guys mean so ill look for reds for the tail lights and white for the others,
Jusy buy led's and solder em up. Then you can have exactly what you want, how you want it. Kinda like burger King without the grease.
my soldering is barley acceptable lol, but i hadnt thought of this beyond wondering if i could take apart one of my led lights from the garden but they are too large.
i have zero experience wiring lights and I'm skeered
Get a led/resistor kit and make your own 🤷‍♂️
ill go check into this , is above my paygrade atm

There's only one way to learn. Soldering is the easiest form of welding. It doesn't take much practice to get good at it. Don't let it intimidate you. Besides, when you get it wrong (and you will) the LEDs look really cool when they start smoking.

If you have a soldering iron and some spare servo wire, try soldering it up. I think it's one of the easiest things to solder.

Buy leds by the 100 on ebay or Amazon. 5mm is most common. Some files will call for 3mm. If it's a rectangle light your after, 2x5x7mm.

I sure miss radio shack. They had such a great assortment of that kind of stuff. There aren't any in my area anymore. I heard they went out of business all together.
Radio Shack was great. They needed to expand from Tandy electronics though. 🤣
I think theres a couple independent RS stores still but not 100%.
Its a shame they couldn't work it out.

Thanks for the info! I am new to LED's, so this is great to know.

I started off in 2008 going to radio shack building light kits. Since your new, they have led calculators. You can also dim lights with some resisters while others will brighten them. If you have ocd it will look correct with brighter head lights and duller running lights. 🤣🫠🙃

My OCD is so bad, I play with the resistors in total darkness. 🤣
