I bought a Furitek Mini Komodo brushless motor/ESC combo for my Hobby Plus Terranaut. The Terranaut has a 2-in-1 receiver/ESC that also contains the light controller board for the Terranaut's elaborate lighting. I wanted to buy a 2A-BS protocol receiver that could could work with the new brushless ESC and also use the transmitter that came with the Terranaut (Flysky FS-MG6A-BS). I was able to order a FlySky 6-channel receiver of the correct type (FS-R6D-BS) from an AliExpress seller.

Now, I need the Flysky FS-DB01 light controller module to handle the Terranaut's lighting. Flysky doesn't ship to the US. I can't find one anywhere except eBayUK and the seller doesn't ship to the US. None of the AliExpress sellers have one. AMain sells the unit in a combination package with the R6D-BS receiver but has none in stock.

Is it possible to somehow use the light controller in the original receiver/ESC? Can I provide power to the unit but not connect the ESC leads and then use the light controller?

Some RC brands use FS-DB01 as their OEM light controller.

Try looking for it under different names, like Hobby Plus HBP240483 or FMS C3340?

Good luck!
Thanks. I had found one overseas at Hobby Zone. According to the tracking info, it just arrived in the US and is waiting to be accepted by the USPS.
