What is the most useless/dissapointing hop-up you ever bought ?

#1: RPM Shocktowers on my Maxx. They bend sooooo much. From bad landings and the towers being so soft, I've dented the hell out of 2 seperate headers from the towers bending back so much. Since then I've upgraded to an aluminum tower in the rear with alum. body mounts and VIOLA problem solved.

#2 would be a 16t cb for my Hyper 7 with the 8 Port. You get a crazy top speed but it'll take you a football field to get there because of the CRAP for accelleration. With the Hyper .21 8 port stick with a 13 or 14 tooth cb.

powerline aluminum body mounts for the front and rear of my t-maxx. they looked real nice when i first put them on..but after jsut one 30 min bash session both the front and rear post had either bent real bad or broke completly. BTW i have aluminum towers..and they do not flex at all..and proably helped kill the aluminum body mounts so easily.

BTW: When I think of it I actually have a useless hop-up. It must be the RPM shock damper inserts. I didn't feel anything different with them. I used different combinations of oil wt and damper inserts( or what ever they are called)

Well as far as the hop ups I have bought, that I felt were worthless. I picked up a set of $200 progressive suspension piggyback shocks. Biggest waste of money. From here on out, I don't waste anymore money: I buy UE parts! Best in the business!!!

take it as a grain of salt, I have found knucles to do well on high bite tracks where Crimefigters are a low bite blue groove or hard packed surface. just my opinion.

I was thinking of buying a set of those piggybacks, i hear good and bad things about them. It is hard to get an answer out of anyone as to why they are so bad.

Actually militarymax had mentioned that knuckles were his worst upgrade. I think that is where HB was coming from.
