I bought an engine on this forum just a few days ago. Upon recieveing it, all appeared to be fine. When I dissasembled it, I started to find problems. For starters the top of the piston was completly covered with deposists. Most of it black and backed on. I believe this to be something that is caused by a lean condition.

On another not, I noticed, that the carb doesn't seem to fit this engine. I'm going to need some pointers here as well.

So, post up your pics guys. and whoever has some time.

shoot me an email so I can send you some pics of the RG I bought. I need an educated eye to look at em.

Send me a pic or two. I've been through a few OS 21 RG's in the past few years.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I've had around 10-12 engines varying in brands and sizes. 3 of which were the 21 rg. I currently have one that's about dead on my savage for a winter running engine. I have an OS 21 RG carb on my omega engine, but I had to modifiy it quite a bit to get it to fit...
