i like the consession trailor idea cuz u can lay down a sleeping bag right inside and sell rc parts and stuff to people.
 
Building your own would be nice,however making it aerodynamic and stable enough to handle 80/90mph interstate runs to distant bashes would be the concern.A brick on wheels is hell to control at high speeds and in high winds!
 
i must say, being out of highschool and having a real job must be awesome, since you can even think about blowing 3k on a box to put all of your toys in...

what about gettting a boat trailer and putting boards over it flat instead of the V shaped strut things... just my .02
 
I have to agree with Lykan, post #20.
Building from the ground up will also UP your weight. They have it to a science with weight and strength. Just get an open box interior and add what you need.
Guys have built their own caps for pickups, and instead of a lightweight fiberglass cap, they end up with 400 lbs of lumber and a high CG.
