I'm still new to the hobby although this place helps a lot! I was just curious what everyone runs as far as buggies go and maybe a little bit of setup tips for buggies. I'm still playing around with mine although I think I have my track tuned (no racing experience though :(). I personally run my one and only car a Kyosho Inferno Mp777 and while the parts are a pain to get and I'm having problems with the diffs flexing (solved in another post) I love it. I've had a good experience overall with the car. I don't have any pics of my car as the wife has the camera with her while she's climbing Mt. Fuji.

I was able to get some pics of the rig on my cell but they kinda suck. Basic info is a Novarossi .21 with a Jammin 2 pipe. I run a 14 tooth bell with a 48 tooth spur. She's really got a lot of torque and it's blazing fast too. I think my next will be a Baja 5t when I get done modding this one. I have a chassis from Dragon Racing coming and big bore shocks as well. I want to get the MP9 lower arms so that I have a few more tuning options with my suspension. I run med springs up front and hard in the rear.

I need to make a new lid for this thing though. The one I have is starting to be weighed down by electrical tape ;)

I currently run a Hot Bodies D8 Buggy ;-) I swapped the engine to my Alpha Plus S852 though....

looks like a good rig. Hopefully I'll get to see some of these in action when I get back. First thing that went on my buggy was the engine too :( Kyosho does NOT include a decent engine with their cars.

XTM XT2 Track Edition, I dont have it yet, but its on the way and I have a ton of things I want to do to it. I'm just wondering what I should do first. Upgrade to Losi Big Bore shocks, JP-3 pipe, carbon fiber parts to shed some weight, or change the stock Proline Crimefighters for some Super Soft AKA Gridiron tires.

heres a pic of what it looks like stock, can't wait to get it. XTM Engines are powerful, and these things haul you know what.

I actually liked my kyosho after a little bit of weight was added to it. When I bought the kanai II chassis the response was a little bit better and it didn't slide around so much.

Finally got my XT2 yesterday, and finished the putting on the hop ups I had for it. Supprisingly it came with a high torque digital servo :) All I had to do was switch out the switch, receiver (for my Spektrum), the engine (I had an extra engine I didnt want to rot, so I'm using that one instead), and I put on some dust boots for the shocks to finish it all off. Its the Track Edition so I didnt have to change shock, or diff oil, also came with Proline Crimefighters. The thing is heavy, but it makes up for it performance wise, handles GREAT!!!. Overall I am very very happy with this thing. I get to race it for the 1st time Saturday, I think I might actually be a contender with the thing.

Good luck with the race! For the first time me and about 4 of my friends are all going out to the track together this Sat just to have some fun. Maybe there will be a race or two. Two of my friends run 1/8 buggies so we'll see what happens. I just got in a nice light Dragon Racing chassis too for mine and I can't wait to see how it works out for the car.
