I only have a piece of silicone tubing and there is space for air to get in between in and the carb opening . Not enough room for a zip tie .

Sounds like you have the wrong diameter air filter for that truck/car. I would take it down to the LHS, & purchase the correct one. There should be plenty of room to get a ziptie around the filter header while mounted on the carb.

SCREW THINGY!!!!! I can't belive you called it a screw thingy. This just takes the cake. "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Suppa what the hell is your problem! Why dont you go home and not come back.

And Mr. Pink as for the screw thingy I'm assuming you are referring to the HSN. It sounds like you need a new tube.

do you have a camera? So we can see what your talking about? I said this in your other posts help us to help you.

I would get a smaller diameter air filter as mentioned. I have seen this problem where the HSN is so close to the carb housing that you actually have to force the rubber of the airfilter between the HSN (screwy thingy) and carb throat. It may not fit easy but it will fit. That is a bad engine design imo and I have seen it on quite a bit of engines especially rotary carbs.

Domination loosen dude, & maybe you could see the light hearted humor in it. Its not like I kicked your cat or anything. But on a serious note. I would expect the screw thingy to be called by its proper name, not because I want to be a peepee about it but so we can better assist someone with their problems.

Very true my friend, very true. Anyways I know it is a tight fit but the correct diameter air filter you will just have to force it on.

I'm plenty loose i rarely get agravated or in conflicts with people on line and in peron because i am very laid back and passive no much bothers me, it just burns me when people give newbs to the hobby a hard time. You were once a newb and so was i, dumb as a rock about RC terminology and RC in general. The only thing he knows to call it by is "SCEW THINGY" because he did not know to call it a HSN or high speed needle or needle valve.

I'm not sure that it's the HSN that's in the way. Look at his pic, and tell me what that 'screw thingy' is next to the carb. It looks like an allen head, and it doesn't look like the HSN would obstruct the air filter neck.

oh i never looked at that post. Its still the same that he didnt know what to call it.

it is the idle screw . I will just have to try different method / item to get a good seal .
I apprecieate the help .

It might be easier/better for you to get a new carb. Get one that fits in your throttle body and use that because if you can't seal the air filter you run a pretty good chance of getting dirt/dust in the engine and if that happens your engine is toast.
