Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm glad you like the video short. I always like building them they're fun.
What is stopping you from riding? I'm really not sure what would happen if I could not ride anymore. Riding my motorcycles means too much to me.
My back. I've had injuries & just can't ride anymore. I owned 4 different Harleys in my time. Bought a new 2012 Slim & sold it in 2018. I had a Harley at 15 before I had a car. Many a miles I've put under my feet. All over many states. Been to Bike Week. Met many a cool bikers during my adventures. 1st bike a 72 Iron Head Sportster, then a 74 Shovel, then a 88 FXR- best bike I've ridden. Then the Slim. My dad had an Electra Glide, I rode it many times. Loved it too. The road sofa 🤣

Normally YouTube shorts were only allowed to be 1 minute in length. Recently YouTube has allowed all creators to make 3 minute shorts. I, for one, didn't know what I was gonna do with 3 minutes. So I messed around with some ideas and came up with this 3 minute YouTube short. If you'd like to watch it there's a link below and if you're not interested it's all good 🙂👍. Hope you enjoy!

Link to my first 3 minute YT video short.
I have to say I'm a little disappointed, I was hoping to see you doing donuts in the snow at the very least! Danged resposible motorcyclist. 🤪
Not quite the same when I can't feel the wind, I'm going to go grab a fan and watch it again. :thumbs-up:

I'm sorry you're unable to ride anymore. Sounds like you've had a lot of cool adventures on some really cool motorcycles. I can sure understand how you miss it. Again, I'm sorry you can't ride anymore.

🤣🤣🤣 Sorry my video was such a disappointment 🤣. I've never been a squid and don't plan on being one anytime soon. So, I guess you'll have to find different videos? Maybe some videos with half naked girls and a lot of cleavage showing while riding a motorcycles? I've certainly seen my share of those.😁😁😁

That is way cool.
Isn't it though? That's why I was just compelled to order one. Couldn't resist. The headlights and tail lights work. What he's putting in the gas tank is distilled water that's what makes the steamy smoke from the pipe. Very cool.

Well, of course you all know what a motorcycle nut I am. I saw this and just had to order one this morning.🤣🤣🤣
Very cool! But it looks like the piston rings might have gone bad 😅

Now that's a good one 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Another motorcycle related, Christmas present, arrived at my door this morning. DRYSTAR motorcycle boots. My older boots are roughly 10 years old now. Thought I would update. A pair of boots from The North Face (not motorcycle related) should arrive today as an additional Christmas present 😁👍. I'm in the holiday spirit 😂👍. Quoting Charles Dickens and Scrooge from A Christmas Carol "I'm as giddy as a school boy."

I have WAY too many hobbies and interests.

I work for the Air Force as a FedGov civilian and am coming up on retirement in about 5 years, so hopefully I'll be able to get back into my 'fun things.'

First there's my full scale toys:
1980 Jeep CJ-7 - going through a complete refitting after swapping the 258 I-6 & 4-sp for an AMC 304 V8 & TF999 automatic. I'm hitting all of the other areas I've been neglecting as well. I'm redoing the interior and still gotta paint the YJ hardtop & 'new' paddle handle doors, swap those giant Bushwacker fender flares for some smaller Rugged Ridge cut-out flares, and finish the nit-noids.

The Jeep's the lone hold-over from my days of off-roading and mud slinging. I used to head out every few weekends with my buddies and have a blast playing in and around the local lakes. Then the buddies all PCS'd (military) and I never really did get into rock crawling, so that kind fizzled out over time. Then I got into detailing and going to car shows, which is a lot easier on the wallet than rebuilding axles and repairing trail damage.

My 1971 Mach 1, has been completely restored (more like resurrected) and won some trophies at local car shows, but I still have some nit-noids to finish up on it as well:

I also build scale models. Here are two of my latest (a few years ago): my 1980 CJ-7 and a cool '70 Pro Street Challenger (kit-bashed from a Super Bee):

One of my main hobbies is playing music with my local bands: San Angelo Community Band and Ice House Brass Band. I play Tuba with SACB and mostly Euphonium with IHBB, but I play any low brass, aka "Heavy Metal." LOL! I'm also the coordinator for San Angelo's annual Merry TubaChristmas concerts. Here's an old shot of my collection of horns: l-r No-Name Baritone, Blessing M300 Marching Euphium, Sterling Virtuoso Euphonium, Besson 300 BBb Tube, 1928 Conn 3G Valve Trombone, Jupiter 460 Euphonium & Jupiter 430 Baritone

I also have a Benge Studio 165F Rose Brass trombone that I rescued from a trip to Goodwill:
benge165F2.webp

And my latest acquisition - Tempest Prague BBb Tuba.

Now we get to add-in the more neglected hobbies, like drawing & painting (including computer graphics). Here's a pencil drawing I did awhile back for a local Art Club contest:

Building custom computers, designing web sites, woodworking, and I'm an avid Utah Jazz fan (also a recovering NASCAR fan, since all my favorite drivers seemed to have retired).

Here's a link to my website that outlines a bunch of this stuff... but as I mentioned, some of it's really old, hence my comment about neglected hobbies - one being website maintenance. LOL! It's also time to refresh it again, since it looks like the embedded blog on my front page is taking its time to load.

I've been into all of the exact same stuff at some point in my life. Except for me it was originally violin, and then guitar, both acoustic and electric.

I have played everything from Garth Brooks to Metallica, but I'm not very good. I'm best with Travist D picking style, and I learned that as soon as I learned the chords, just so I could play Dust in the Wind. I used a VHS tape of an instructor at Berkeley and followed along with him teaching the style. The first night that I actually felt like I was starting to get the picking style down, slowly, I played all night and destroyed my finger tips. But I soon had them toughened up to the point I could poke a hole through a rock 🤣

I also used to draw and paint every day. I remember a Lamborghini Countach I drew in my sketchbook for art class my junior year of high school. We were required to turn in 16 sketches every 6 weeks. Most sketches got at most 2 credits, if they were detailed. That one got me 16. Mr. Tucker said it looked like a photograph, which almost had me in tears, because he was like famous. He was one of the teachers on the Challenger space program, he was also Indiana teacher of the year, and he was a comic strip artist with his stuff in the Wall Street Journal. Sadly, he quit after that year. I haven't drawn anything to speak of since. I moved on to chasing girls and hopping up my 65 Mustang 🤣

I retired from the USAF a long time ago, but spent some time at Goodfellow AFB... first time was 1982/83 (before my first trip to Korea) and got to enjoy a record snow fall, the last time was late 1993, flew in to San Angelo ahead of an ice storm to do a contract compliance inspection at the Eldorado Pave Paws site.

If you've got a drop of creativity in you, it will find an outlet. Seems to me you've got more than a drop. ;) A few of us have multiple creative outlets. I have been thinking about drawing again lately, even if it's just doodles.

It's been long since abandoned, but the buildings and boom box are still out there. I was here when you last came through as a Buck Sergeant in the Comm Squadron (got here in Jan '91 after being diverted from Vicenza, Italy - man, was I pissed). Got out in '96, wandered the world aimlessly as a defense contractor for 11 years (and have 3 orphaned 401ks and 7 different company polos as a result), then took my job as IT Security Manager in 2007 for the Intel Training School and promoted to Chief of Special Security in 2020. My last 'Wheels Up' party is on 31 Jan 2030 - I'll still use the Auto Hobby Shop if it's still open... might even take a job there for something to do and help people work on their cars, but otherwise probably won't ever run the gates again after that.

Do It! There will come a time when you realize your skills and talent are still there, but ability starts to fade. I was scribbling a design for the squadron's annual Holiday Card and my hands was cramping up like a big dawg the whole time. It went away after awhile, but it's definitely a reminder that things are starting to go downhill.

Hey Kevin, I have a very cool 24x36" Countach rendering I made while in high school drafting class (practicing my inking technique) that I'll have to dig out for ya. Meanwhile, here's a car design that was floating in my head around that time, and one of my favorite scribbles.

And here's one of my Jeep, when I was fartin' around on Windows Paint one night at work (as a contractor IT maintenance tech).

We could see its demise coming when I was at Space Command, so after writing the Maintenance Management portion of the new contract. I bailed and went over to a different project (part of the Strategic Defense Initiative... aka Star Wars). Had a lot of fun there, and we were able to deliver a new and unique capability for the time, which is older than dirt now. Spent a lot of time trraveling between Colorado Springs and Azusa, CA with a few overseas trips thrown in plus one to San Antonio (Air Intelligence Agency).

Brings back some memories, right? 😁
Yeah, it sure does. Animal, Rocket, etc. That was when I was going on 17 when the Hysteria album came out, and I just bought my first car, which was a '65 Spitfire orange Mustang Coupe. I was the only kid in school with a sound system that was so loud most kids couldn't sit in it at full volume. And Def Leppard sounded great in that car. Crank it up and the girls came a runnin' 🤣
