What A deal!

This guy comes into the hobby shop yesterday with a bag of tricks as we call it. It had a Nitro TC3 with threaded shocks and a 2 speed (team kit version) in it.
Then he takes out an RC10 GT with a new Fantom .12 fr series 03, and a new THS race pipe.
And lastly an Ofna starter box. (the big pink one with the big motor).

We know the guy because he's been in the shop before.
He say's he can't get the GT running because it keeps getting stuck. (compression).
The TC3 he was just done with it.

We offerd to get the GT running for him, but he just wanted to sell it.

$120 for everything!

My friend took the TC3 for $50, I took the GT for $50 for my 6 yr old, and my other friend took the starter box for $20.

What a deal.

Awesome deal! I paid $125 for my GT, but that was back in the day... I had a simular deal happen tho; when I got my RC10B3(factory team... literally... owned by a guy who got sponsered a month beforehand), the guy traded me the car for about $50 in store credit - which worked out to about $30 cost - gotta love workin for a LHS!

He's an electrician with a very good relationship with his LHS, just like me except I'm not an electrician.

Granted I don't go to his LHS but the LHS is practically our second home. Help fix things when needed and help customers out when needed. ImBroken said something about the "perks of owning a hobby shop," I'm not sure about that but if anything we're the guys that come in say hi and just dive in behind the counter to get what we need.

Hang out at the LHS more. Get into good relations with the owner. You'll see the perks and learn a whole lot.

Well, used about $150-200 RTR. Cept I got ripped off becuase I was a newb to gas and I bought my broken up gt for $170. Brand new ones are I think $230 for a the plain one... and $280 for the factory team RTR.
