  1. Bashing
Well i finally got to go bashing again !! I alos had to go and buy a new servo and a new steering assembly. The weather here is allmost perfect the temp is 10ºC but its really windy its gusting at about 50-55 km/h. Also my dad just got and painted his parma Gravedigger body.he also bought a parma Gravedigger body for his 1/8 scale !! I got all this week off to go and bash my truck and i hope i don't break to many parts !!!

ahh yes. Bashing is always a good thing. Have a good week bashing. I just hope I get to finish breaking in my fantom this week.

What type of fantom?? and Is your fantom in your t-maxx ?

cuz i'm thinking of getting a fantom fr-15. but i don't know if there any good in a t-maxx so if you can help me that would be great !!

Have fun bashing ..i went to go today and forgot airfilter at home had cleaned it night b4 oh well

I have the Fantom .15FR in my T-Maxx. I have been running if for almost a year now, and it does really well. It provides great top speed, and when properly geared, awesome low-end torque. I am geared for the low-end torque and still managed to post some speeds greater than 35mph.

I have not had a chance to run it against the new 2.5 (the one opportunity I had, the fellow broke the front end off his truck before I could get mine started). I have run with Pirata's .21 and held my own.

I am currently looking for something with more power. This is not saying that the Fantom .15 is underpowered; its just that my T-Maxx is getting heavier and heavier as I upgrade to more and more metal...I may try one of 3maxxman's mods to drop a .21 or larger into the standard chassis (but that is a tale for another time).

Anyway, I think the Fantom is a great investment and will give you what you need. Their customer service is also top notch.

If you really want more information, try a search on this site. You will find several threads on the Fantom and quite a crowd of Fantom users (not as large as the OS crowd but a crowd none-the-less).

Tiny-

I have a fantom fr.15 in my maxx. So far it is great, but I am still breaking it in. I will let you know the verdict when I get to tune it for speed. It is last years model with an ABSC sleeve, but fantom went back to the ABC sleeve and redesigned the carb which was a great move for 03. I do know that the customer service is really the best I have ever recieved from an R/C company. Jeff Schroeder has bent over backwards to make me happy. They rebuilt X's for free and even gave him a new style carb.

I can tell you from just break in period that this thing will love the high RPM's. I have the duratrax header and AE pipe. I may have to change my clutch bell to get a little more lowend grunt, only time will tell.
