Woohoo! Another great scientific success!

I am going to be completely honest. I couldn't care less about it and personally wish NASA would just go away
I think it is a tremendous waste of tax dollars.
Over 20 billion dollars per year.
Let space exploration get privatized. Absorb SOME of it into the Space Force, but only what is necessary for national defense.

Just my 2 cents

I do agree with you, and I think it would be much more effective to just have the government use the more advanced companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin, but the first time sending people all the way around the moon and then seeing the dark side of the moon is still pretty neat.

It would be a huge bonus if we could sent the owners of those companies into space too!!!

I don't trust any of these entities to be reponsible and repectful of the planets they are exploring.
I'd rather look at them in awe and wonder than know for sure that Effrome Mask and his rich friends are up their tagging all the moon rocks with Tesla paint.

The science is AWESOME! Truely next level and a huge achievement for man.
The ppl who profit monetarily from all this can go to heII.

This might be the Trekkie in me, but I see space exploration as a pretty important aspect of our existence.

Not sure I care much about seeing the dark side of the moon but I do like seeing the US getting out there.

I hope I see another planet colonized in my lifetime. Who knows, maybe theres an undiscovered mineral that will make my RC's go faster.

If WE got to see uncut footage and WE got to see ALL the data... I wouldn't mind footing the bill so much.
I see this turning into a jewlery gig for the ultra rich. Moon rock rings for $2m a pop...
Making rich ppl richer on OUR dime!

We have given Elon approx 38 BILLION DOLLARS... We got this in return...

I'm tired of hearing about how AMERICANS can't afford medication, health care and food while we pay BILLIONS for this.

Elon should be in prison for bilking us all!

Prior fails like this and GM bailouts and about 8 trillion other things are the reasons I don't trust ANY of these ppl to do the right thing for ANY of us.

I'm sure this mission was probably more to do with making sure the Chinese haven't landed anything on the darkside that needed keeping tabs on. Possible posturing to show we haven't lost our touch to the new comers in space exploration.

No matter the reason, it still brings back fond memories for me, and still sparks the imagination, which apparently I am not lacking. 🤔 👽 :droid:🤖

Yeah, who knows what's out there? Maybe we'll find E.T. sitting in a crater or something.

I'm glad they made it back safe.
It's a good thing the capsule wasn't made by Tamiya - they'd still be out there trying to make the thing steer straight towards the moon!
I love Tamiya but I think I'll pilot their crafts from right here on earth! 🤣
