Mines' the MBX5 Prospec, and it cost... lets' see...

$750 - kit
$45 - pipe
$300 - engine
$85 - starter box
$100 - servos (hitec 645 and 525 MG's)
$70 - reciever (novak XXL)
$20 - battery

Plus, I already had the M8 ($250 when I bought it new several years ago). Not to mention paints, glues, etc.

Grand total, including the M8, was around $1600. Ugh, I need a drink after seein that.

Shouldn't of done that to yourself, HB. Not good for the heart!

My MBX5R kit was $549.00 shipped
Novarossi P5X was a transfer over from my Xray (it's my club motor)
MR Ninja $225 shipped NIB plus another $100 for RB Mods (big event motor)
JR 9000T and 8800S servo's about $115 each

If anyone shows this to my wife, I'll break your legs!

Don't worry Jet; I won't tell if you don't....

Course, I'm not married, so I can get away with it :D.

Damn did I tell you guy's I have all your personal email adressess and phone numbers, and the wives are getting a notice RIGHT NOW, Of all your spending habits ! Teheeee Jokin fellows,

If only they had any ideas , I don't think any of us would be here on this site right now, lmao

Cheers

LOL, my wife knows, she see's the boxes that get delivered. The best was when I was on a road trip for work and my daughter (she's 5) says, Dad you got another box today...I ask is it from Fast Eddy?...She asks my wife, Daddy wants to know if the box is from Fat Eddy?

Haha thats a good one Jet. Man my dad would KICK MY ASS if he found out how much i got in my cars. He asks how much was that and i ususally cut the price in half. If he knew how much was in my mini alone he'd kick my ass then say I'm never driveing that thing again. lol. But I've been thinking about selling a couple of things and saving up for this, i want the truggy a guy at my local track has one and no one can touch him. Pluse he keeps up with the buggys. Maby its the driver but the truck helps lol.

wow that's a great price on the 5R. My LHS had $675 on the kit but matched A Main's price of $599. I wish I would have known about carolinasrc. :)

You know what though, you supported your LHS and it sounds cool that he matched the price of one of the big online shops. My LHS is still pushing a MBX5 Prospec for $700! LOL come on dude, get real. I usually try to support the local guy but lately it's getting harder to do so. One thing with Carolina's as well is that John is a pretty good guy as is Kendall from A-main.

I already have pretty much everything now. I've been running for about a week now. Have the engine broke in and can't wait to get home every night so I can drive.

The best tip i can give is (time). Take time to build the kit and understand the kit and all the parts. Match up is also good match up the pipe to your eng. spec. Nice buggy

you are so right. I've only been in the hobby for a month and been to two major races. That plus the internet and I have learned so much.
