Saw this on another board and thought I'd share...check out the frame. Can you imagine taking your customer out back to their truck and showing them this?

...."HAHA I work for a toyota dealership here in NY and we had a customer come ine yesterday for the first time for one of the recalls toyota issued for the front end. This is a 1994 Toyota Pick up truck. They started to lift it and heard a funny noise then this happened."

Mines a gray '92, I pray this never happens to my rig!

Ah man, I'd be sick! I can't see how the customer drove that truck without feeling at least a little twist from it.

LOL... Id bet it is a MN. truck though. With all the damn salt they put on the roads here a person can almost watch there truck rust..

Thats crazy though. The outside doesn't look to rusty.

Seriously this looks like a bashed up Toyota. :whip:

Pretty bad,the driver is very lucky to have made it to the garage in one piece.A bit more wait and the truck would be broken in two in the middle the road.

Time to send it to Pimp My Ride!!! I wonder what they would say, or do?
Probably put a jacuzzi in the bed, a bitchin' stereo and paint job on it.... And not touch the frame.
That show trips me out. Take a $400 car and put $10,000 in accessories on it. Never touch anything mechanical. If it came in with the engine knocking and tranny slipping..... It'll leave that way. But they can listen to one hell of a sound system and play games while they wait on a tow truck.:)

Seriously, that would be a bitch. Truck doesn't really look that bad. Not for the frame to be gone anyway.

Any of ya see the show where the guy bought one of those Toyota trucks for $1400 and tried to destroy it? Truck was ragged out to start with. They tied it to the end of a dock and let the tide come in on it. Jumped it through a small shed. And finally set it on fire. Supposedly still ran after all of that.

Toyota frames are common to rust out in that area. I have plated up like 6 of them but never that new. My theory on the problem is because it is a boxed frame with no drain holes the water collects at the low point and rusts it out from the inside out.

Greeeeaaaat, mine is just like that one, same color and striping even, but a king cab and no shell. I guess tomorrow in between tilling the garden, taking the Mayhem for it's first run this year, trying to get some good video shots from the BCX, and raking leaves I'm going to have to add to the list a crawl under the Toyo for a good snoop around. :D

Not only did it still run after that, but they stuck it on top of a high rise apartment building that was being demolished. After digging it out from under the rubble, it still ran. They actually drove it into the studio, after all that. I think they finally decided to put it on display.
