Found this little blast from the past at a car boot sale this morning complete and it still works 40 years old 👍

How do the tires feel? I always imagine when they get that old they dry out. Looks great.
I bought some 20+ year old Duratrax tires off ebay. They were ok. I imagine if stored in a temp controlled environment they will outlast us.
 
Yeah it's even still got the old style body clips on it and the 4 AA battery holder installed it's definitely not a re release
That's cool. Somebody loved it then. That's in pretty amazing condition.
 
Nice find! Brings back memories of burning my fingers on those ceramic resisters on those old mechanical speed controls they had.
I totally forgot about those damn resistors! I burned myself on those quite a few times.
 
lol, right! IDK how many times I did that on my Frog!
I bet I had to replace a dozen of them. They would get so hot they disintegrated
 
There are so many chemicals for tires these days even is dry root is present a spray on a old rag wipe and new life.firm believer in modern day oils chemical sprays so on.Chemical Guys all the way
 
🤣 I know I remember that when I was a kid a Tamiya thundershot I had that burned me a few times
