Robriguez; I went home @ lunch today and read through all the paperwork that came with this thing and nothing, no model number, spec number, UPC..nothing. The Box that it came in was a plain white box containing the Panda Radio box and the red Ferrari box in the photos. The Panda radio does have model numbers, but the car does not.

I did verify that the engine is a Magnum.

Where Thunder Tiger comes into all this I'm not sure. Again the radio tx/rx and servos are Panda, the car is Panda (at least that's what's on the box) and the engine by Magnum.

So the mystery continues.......................................

Mr T........"I pity the fool that trash talks my Panda" :fro:

Corrado you have PM..........Fast Ed offered me a "G";)

Have you tried calling those hobby stores on the paperwork? Hopefully one of them is still in business and would know about the car.

I had a charger by panda.... wait I still have that.

Lol

That engine is tiny
I had the same charger too, I did not know the made a gas car. They did make a couple of knock-offs of tamyia cars.

Not Yet. Unfortunately none of those nine great stores lists a 800 #. Geez, you would think this thing was built in the eighties or something;)

Mr T,

have you found out anything else on this car yet? have you considered my offer? lemme know if you would like to part with it.

Well the phone number is no longer any good. It's owned by a private individual in Huntington Beach. But this may help a little:
Hobby People

Don't know how much help this is, but I guess it's a start and if you already have this info, I apologize for actually being no help.

j....

That's a really cool looking car. With it just being two wheel drive and with mid-80's technology in tires I bet it would be a handful to get to grip. It's a Thunder Tiger, right? Maybe they can help you with accessing it's current value. I had a couple of 4 wheel drive buggys back in the late 80's, 1/8 scale. They were called Hunters or Tornados depending on whether they were on-road or off-road. They were fast (.21 Piccos) but didn't handles worth a crap.

You could send some pics into the RC mags. Maybe they could tell you more info about it.

Good luck ,
Bryan

Corrado, I'm gonna pass on the trade offer. Don't get me wrong, it was a very good offer, but I primarily race and as we discussed the truck doesn't fit.

DnL; Thanks for the info.

Gil, Good thought on sending photo's to the mags.....I might just have to do that.

I found a guy looking for vintage cars on rctech (who said that  ). I sent him a copy of the link, so he may have some interesting info to add.
