i dont know your machanical skill level but its not real hard to do. to be honest i couldnt tell you how well it will hold up with heavy bashing mainly because i havent ran the truck but about 3 full tanks. one of which i did beat the truck pretty good jumping a huge jump about 10-15 times and not landing right side up very often. so far i havent had a problem with it.

Hey Maxx... I think I found a good spot for the Maxx but it requires a skid plate. This is a photo of the rear-center drive axle. I'm thinking that would mount up in there on the skid plate pretty good using standoffs.

david that might work, i just dont have a skid plate under my chassis. wut bout if the chassis flexes and the drive shaft hits the thing coming from the skid plate. wut bout just mounting it to the top of the tranny, and having the magnet in the spur gear some place, will one of those magnets fit in the spur gear? then just super glue it or cemente it in the spur gear. or wont that work?

Nope. It's a two-speed. Your spur gear ramps up to a certain rpm then drops when second gear kicks in. That sensor and magnet HAVE to be downstream of the transmission.

o yea duh lol. forgot about that. so yea ur spot is probly the best. now to get the csh to buy one and see.

Nope! I'm doin' the radio, receiver, and hump-pack deal first!

Hey Maxx Trooper? I actually made my skid plate from a chunk of 26ga sheet metal.

Okay, that's fine, then don't post on this topic. Try to be a productive member instead of being all negative.

You're right Kwong, I'm an idiot and can't post anything without using an insane number of smileys. I wish you guys would bust on me more, I need the attention.

Honestly, how hard is it to be a productive member of RCNT instead of crapping on people's threads?

How can you expect someone to help you when all you do is talk poop?

That's tight skyline I am glad to see that you have seen the error of your ways. Now to be back on topic. Still I would be stoked if a R/C mfr used my pics for their promotional material too. Way to go guys
