Well I have not got my motor and esc back from traxxxas yet, but when I do I want to hook up a fan for the esc and the motor. I picked up a fan for the esc, a traxxas one, yet i have yet to get a fan for the motor. What fan should I get for it and how should i wire it up? splice into the esc fan or something else?

Its a Stampede 4x4 vxl by the way

thank you much

Andrew

If you have a 3CH RX you can hook it into channel 3 otherwise just wire up a splitter for the battery slot on the RX. Hook the ESC into one side, the fan into the other side and then the male end plug into the RX.

Andrew,

If you're running the Traxxas Venlineon system then the VXL-3 has a accessory port on the side to allow a cooling fan for the ESC. For the motor fan, plug it into a free channel on your receiver or use a splitter like greywolf suggested.

Thanks Guys! Thats what I was looking for. I think I'm going to plug it into the channel 3 port. Would that connector be on hand at the LHB you think?

Andrew

Andrew,

If you're running a stock setup of the Stampede 4x4 then you have a 5 channel receiver already in the radio box and no adapter will be needed. Otherwise you'll want a simple Y adapter which any hobby shop "should" have for sure.
