I can't find my glow plug charger but wanted to know if I could just take out the battery and replace it with a non rechargeable C battery?

Thanks

remember trying that many years ago it will work but wont last long c is 1 1/2 volts

Sub C rechargeable that you are probably using is 1.2v.
Alky C is 1.5v and from my experience did a better job initially until the voltage starts to taper off. For this reason you need to carry some extras.

Yes you can use a Alky C battery as long as it will fit in your igniter. The Alky C is a larger diameter than a Sub C.

I prefer the alkaline myself due to the extra voltage. It may not seem much but its actually a 25% I.crease which ks substantial. I'm pretty sure a standard alkine won't fit in a sub c ignitor.
