Hey,

Recently discovered nearly a gallon of Nitro fuel in my shed.. Not sure how long it's been there.. maybe 5 - 6 months? But what your opinions on using it or not?.. That's alot of fuel to waste but don't wanna be wrecking my engine at the same time. The has been opened but stored in a cold and dry shed.

Thanks in advance.

i would not use it. if your gona let it sit you should do your best to squeez out the air it is the best way to keep it for some time. it sucks but its gona cost like 25.00 it will cost u more if u f up your motor right??

How much is gone from it? If it's only missing a little bit and has been closed it should be fine.....HOWEVER, I would get new fuel anyway, for comparison. Run some new fuel, then try a little of the old, make sure the old fuel looks the same as the new. If it seems to run fine on the old fuel, it's probably ok, especially if It looks the same. The oil in the fuel will always be there, just make sure you run some new fuel LAST before you put it away. If the old stuff is questionable, then use it to start fires or something. Old fuel shouldn't HURT your motor, but it might run crappy.

I would run it ;-) 5-6 months really isn't that long, assuming it's been stored properly. If it was open and/or built up a lot of condensation...then I'd toss it or use it to clean parts and such with.

+1
I'm with motogod.

I keep my fuel in the trunk of my car all winter and burn it when I can between November and april. Usually by april, it runs a little rough, but I still burn it anyway.

Shake it up a bit first then run it! I just finished off a bottle 5-6 YEAR old fuel. I had no problems running it. If the fuel won't run right, just flush it out and put some new in,nothing will be hurt by trying it.

I've ran some of my dads fuel from 10-15 years ago in a small block and it ran fine, Granted it was in a dark closet at about 60 degrees.
