hey my buddy has a xxx-t sport by team losi and he just bout a new motor but he still isnt getting enough punch and want it to be faster wat are some upgrades that will make it go faster without putting a hole in his wallet ..............help please!!

If the engine is still relatively new, it will get better with more fuel through it and further tuning. I don't know the pitch of the gears, available for the XXX-NT but gearing also plays a definite role in the hole shot as well as overall top end speed. Play around with the gear selection (Pinion and spur)to get the speed and hole shot needed.

As a rule of thumb, a quicker hole shot will give lower top end and vice versa. There is a give and take but somewhere he will find a good compromise.

Pipe selection also plays a part in performance. A shorter pipe will be tuned for more torque, a longer will be tuned for more speed. I may have the pipe info turned around the wrong way, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I think he's talking about the electric XXX-T. I'm pretty sure the only thing you can do to make it faster is change the gearing.

You can change the gearing or get a lower turn motor (try a 19T if you are running a stock 27T). You can also get better batteries. Fusion batteries are great just google them and you should find them. Also direct solder connection instead of using plugs. Just hardwire your battery to the speed controller which will cut out some of the loss by using connectors.

OOOPS, my bad. You can get a faster motor but make sure that your ESC can handle the motor. As for the gearing, I still say the same thing. Maybe try a higher pitched spru/pinion set up. Just remember, to get higher speed, the hole shot will suffer and vice versa.

I'm not shur ei will have to ask him i dont have an electric ..........will get back to u on that one
