Upgrade for Stampede 4x4 (motor)

Will this combo fit into the Stampede 4x4 without modifications / or addational hardware; and will i be able to use my stock radio reciver ? Or do I need anouther one as well?

It will work but the motor is to low in the KV department for that kit and the MMP is total overkill. Id recommend the Castle sidewinder/3800kv combo. Its more than enough power for that truck and its only $119 dollars instead of $199.

If you just want the MMP thats fine but Id still look at the 3800kv motor for it.

That looks great, I dont really know what I'm looking for really just something better then the stock 3500 setup; do you know if that would bolt right in and would it run cooler / better then the stock set up?

One thing i see is that it is rated up to 2s only. Currently i have 2 3s all ready, would like to keep using them if possible, is there anouther combo that may work?

The sidewinder and the 3800 can handle up to 3S. That guy is reading this excerpt from Castles website and misinterpreting it.

Controller and motor max 2S. Controller alone with motor of lower KV max = 3S.

This clearly states that the ESC can do 3S and the lower KV motor that it is talking about is the 3800kv motor. Take a look at this pic and you'll see it says right on the can 3S max.

And yes it will run cooler because its a 4 pole motor and not a 2pole like the Velineon.
