Hi all I’ve been passed down an old flying point torsen which is in a sorry state, I’m trying to source parts to fit but would like to know what model I’ll be fitting it to, I’ve been told its engine has been switched to a HPI savage but that’s as far as I got, thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum! In the US, it’s called the Duratrax Axis, I recommend searching for both when trying to get parts. I can’t find any bodies, but you can try to fit one from another RC, but I’m not sure which body will work.

Thankyou, there is so little about them on the internet I thought I’d try here, as for the shell it just needs strengthening at the very front so I’m sure I can clean it up and sort something, time to start spending money

Welcome in @Nameless , I've looked around myself and haven't found any bodies. You could build you a vacuum form though.
Thankyou, I just might give it a go, I’d rather break a replica shell than the original since it’s sentimental

Welcome to RCT bud. It could be a duratrax axis like @pug. SAID OR A HPI camper or a redcat volcano there's a few models that used that model design. Can you take a pic from straight over the top of it??
So there's a few different models you can try to look up their bodies that should fit yours I will look some of them up the main problem will be the cooling head on the left side. Most of them are on the rite
Sorry I miss read thought you were try to find what model. Your looking for a body. My bad

It is not a Duratrax Axis as the motor and electronics are on opposites sides of the chassis and the center brace is very different. This kit is a Flying Point Probe-VXI. From what I can tell this was a model only sold overseas in Europe. Finding parts may be like finding a needle in a haystack. If you do manage to restore it I wouldnt run it. Id turn it in to a shelf queen.

Brand: Flying Point
Model: Probe-VXI

I didn't think it was a duratrax axis I've restored a duratrax and it looks nothing like it....👍

I isn't the Redcat Volcano either, the Volcano is a monster truck and it looks closer to the Tornado S30 but I don't believe it's that either because mine is a bit different. I believe Grey nailed it.

Thanks for all your comments, I’m now a man on a mission to get this old girl going again, the engine still seems good and since it’s already been swapped out for a hpi savage engine I’m not too bothered about swapping it out again if it dies, the main things I’ve found right now is new driveshaft as one is bent, new springs, new tyres, new remote - receiver + battery and I think it will be spot on, or I hope atleast, I’ll keep posting my updates here see your guys opinions ( I’m pretty sure greys got it spot on with the flying point probe)

A good budget radio & receiver would be a Flysky GT3b or Gt3c. Good luck and keep us posted!

What do you have on top. Is that a head warmer? For the pre start warming? U agree with @greythe flysky gt3-b or c would be a good choice in radio it comes with reciver. The drive shafts are dogbones correct? If you can messure them I can see if they match the tornado shafts. Springs can get anywhere. Just minded to messure them as well. They will be listed in mm and not inches so you are aware. They battery you can get the box thelat holds 4 AA or a nicad 6v rechargeable hump pack..

Not to worry man, my backspace button on my laptop gets more use than any of them. :D
Oh man you have a backspace. I had to just put a piece of tape over the hole. After I wore it out and it broke off 😉👍🤣🤣🤣

I would be lost without my laptop. I hate watching tv because it's the same old crap over and over.
The wife and I have a pretty quiet life and we prefer it that way so the laptop is my contact with the outside world.
