this has got me stumped. Today I went to rip around with the Savage 25 and took it out, it started right up but when I gave it gas it would die. A couple of days ago when I was rippin around it ran like a top. In Mn here the temps go up and down like nuts, so last time I was rippin around it was about 25F. And today it was about 50f. I tuned the main screw and got it to go and rip around a little bit but it was still kinda poochy. I'm by no means a master tuner and am having probs. Which screw would you guys think would help me out? (I know this kinda seems like a bonehead question, but this is a new rig to me, and seems alot less touchy than my maxx, so I figured Id ask so I got it done right) Thanks guys!

If a truck dies on throttle down it might be your low speed needle. Have you done the pinch test on it? Pinch the fuel line on idle and it should die within 3-5 seconds.

If it runs longer after cutting off fuel the LSN is too rich.

there's is a big difference between 25 and 50 degrees. Since it has gotten warmer the air has become less dense. In lamens terms warmer temps equals less air. If you have less air then repectively you have more fuel.... a rich condition. You'll want to lean out your HSN a bit. It's boggin down when you get on the throttle because there's not enough air in the mixture. I assume your low end is ok. when you tune for atmospheric changes generally HSN tweaking is all that's needed. good luck!

Ok Ill give it a try. Thanks guys.. Mn weather sucks..lol.. Tomorrow could be back to 10F, so I'm retuning every day.. Gotta love it..lol
