I've got 2 of the Traxxus ez-starts (with the 7.2 battery pack)... When I charged them the first time, the charger light changed from red to green (overnight)... This is only the second attempt at charging... However, it's been three days and still no green light... the battery packs are only slightly warm (which to me says that they are full), but the light on the charger is still red... My question is: Is three days too much time? Should I have just stopped after about 12 hours and called that good? What has happened to my batteries/chargers??? Thanks.

Mine always shut off after a period of time. I would suggest spending a few bucks and get a quality charger. You can find units that will do NiCd and NiMh for about $30-40 and will charge faster, safer, and better.

Wonder if there is a 'time limit' for charging with these chargers? I really don't want to damage the batteries...
:ponder2:

Faster, safer, better???? Faster I'll agree with... safer, better? Maybe... But, I really don't need faster... My RC's don't run on batteries, so I don't need fast turn-around... 12 hours is just fine... In fact 72 hours is still faster than I need... :D

Um.... Anybody got a recommendation for a charger for 1500mh 7.2 nimh batteries?

well i didnt think about getting the street truck close to the racing/bashing area. all of the places i bash i can get my street truck right at the bashing area. i am not trying to say that everyone should change to the the way i set up. just if it would work for you you might like it.

Ah, I see... Sorry for the 'dumb look'... Had no idea what you were talking about... However, I DO have a small 12v battery (fits a 4-wheeler, I think) that I COULD carry with me... Now for the $64,000 question... How do you set something like that up?

ill post my e-mail, so we dont clog this web sites server, and you can send me your street add, and ill send you the instruction set by snail mail. this may not be for every body, like the instruction set i have written to mix you own nitro. i do NOT recommend mixing your own nitro. the reason? there is no advantage, its not cheaper, its more work, its dangerous, my way of mixing nitro is not accurate. but i will send the ez-start conversion instrution BUT you are doing it at your own risk. it might not work as well for you as it did for me. but i have been using it for 6-7 mo. with no trouble. also i have a dynamite brand prophet sport bat charger it will charge a lot of dif bats, works very good. mine cost 29.99.
