Lessen's 1st run review
This truck is just plain fun. Not overpowered, not underpowered (if equipped well). I'm running 2 7-cell IB5000 packs. I got a solid 15-16 minutes of peak performance on the first charge of these packs in this truck. I ran it a total of 19 minutes. Neither the motor nor my packs were above 130ish when I was finished. That is with stock gearing. It's just about perfect in my 70ft. wide backyard.
Warning: Although bashing with locked diffs is fun, as expected it will tear up your drivetrain. I did break one driveshaft today, and actually it's the front/right, not a rear. Caused by an awkward flip, not an over-abundance of power. No biggie.
Here's a video. It's no masterpiece so cut me some slack

You can definitely tell where I change from open diffs to full lock and when the half-shaft break happens. Quick enough for my yard but I will experiement with gearing when I replace the driveshaft.
One question: If one were to swap the diff servo leads, would it go from
full open - front lock - full lock to
full open - rear lock - full lock? I know that's sort of silly for the application of getting over obstacles but it might be kind of fun just bashing around on a loose surface. You can tell from the video that the truck definitely wanted to donut much easier with the rear locked but with the front locked as well it wanted to flip over if I didn't pull out of the throtle in time. I got the timing figured out on that but I bet I could really tear up some donuts with the front unlocked.
