Traxxas Stampede

Just picked up this used Traxxas Stampede from my cousin. I'd say its about 6 or 7 years old. It runs but i'd like to improve speed and run time. I know I need a battery and motor. Any ideas on a suitable motor that wont't break the bank?

I've got a stampede with a mamba maxx system in it.. 7700 i believe.. its crazy but it might break the bank depending on your budget.

If its the standard 12 turn motor throw it out. Its equivelent to about a 19 turn and a 15 turn Dragon motor is a much better option. The best option of course is the VXL Velenion. I have 2, and 2 VXL Bandits to go along with them. Then you pick yourself up an 11.1v Lipo battery and you will not believe your eyes. Show me a Nitro car that can make you giggle like a girl like a VXL Bandit with Lipo, and I'll eat it. Of course it will cost you, but it is worth working towards.
